I found two interesting things about the same themes of Miku, one is the old style of her, and the other is the idol like her, in the reality human films.
The first virtual singer Dozo was designed to have enough human characteristics to make the audience feel empathetic. From the video below, we could see from the narratage that this is the first time when machine started to sing and the figure of them will be computer-generated. This virtual sexy idol is like a copy of a real human from both her appearance to her voice. By comparison with Miku, this one is more close to the reality.
Another found is a film talking about a virtually perfect idol in the real life, but this film seems not to be really popular.
The career of a disillusioned producer, who is desperate for a hit, is endangered when his star walks off the film set. Forced to think fast, the producer decides to digitally create an actress “Simone” to sub for the star–the first totally believable synthetic actress. The “actress” becomes an overnight sensation, with a major singing career as well, and everyone thinks she’s a real person. However, as Simone’s fame skyrockets, he cannot bear to admit his fraud to himself or the world. Written by Sujit R. Varma
These are both from the Western culture, obviously been shown in the aesthetic aspect. Miku doesn’t come from herself, there are many histories which contains theories of the development of this kind of thing.
